As well as 'a la carte', most restaurants will serve a simple, value for money ‘Menu del Dia’. The price varies from between €9 and €13 a head for a three course meal including half a bottle of wine.
The nearest restaurant is a short stroll away, by the sports hall.

In the surrounding villages
There are numerous restaurants in the surrounding villages of Alcalali, Parcent, Jalon, Tormos, Murla, Benidoleig and although we haven’t sampled them all, the experiences at those we have been to have always been good. The restaurants outside of Orba tend to be a bit more expensive, but nevertheless, still very good value for money.
L’Era (96 640 5298) - in the village of Parcent is ‘the’ place to go for Paella, booking is essential as this restaurant gets very busy, and rightly so. Terraces for outside dining, good Jalon valley and mountain views. This restaurant only has Paellas on the menu, but lots of variety, meat, fish, mixed, vegetable, etc. All menus have a huge salad to start, and a large plate of fresh fruit to finish. If your table is near the kitchen, you can watch the chefs, through the flames.
Merendero (La Piscina) (96 640 5126) - just outside Parcent on the Col de Rates/Tarbena road. Best described as a Spanish kitchen. Only open lunch times, noon to 16:00, very popular, always busy, excellent choice of meats, fishes, paellas, pastas, all started off by a help yourself buffet salad, good range of sweets. Vino included, €12. Terraces or inside tables, Piscina (swimming pool) is now a huge lilly pond.
Monroes (96 576 1731) - near Pedreguer caters for English meals, a full carvery every lunchtime and evening, as well an extensive 'a la carte' menu. Pepe's (96 648 2456) and CastleVi (96 648 2481) - in Alcalali, both have similar menus, both serve excellent food, and are very popular.
All costal towns have a massive range of restaurants, the best fish restaurants are in the port areas at Calpe, Javea and Denia. In the early evening, at any of the ports, you can watch the fishing boats arrive, and sell their catch.
If Chinese is your choice, try one of the many Wok Buffet restaurants. These restauants offer an all you can eat deal between 12:00 and 24:00 for €10, buffet style service as well as your choice of fresh food cooked by wok chefs in front of you. House wine, how about an agreeable Rioja for €6.95.
